Notes:
*Just from the title, it's interesting what this can mean. Night in Girl sounds just like nightingale in Japanese, but aside from phonetically speaking, Night in Girl definately has references to a "night in drag" experience. Particularly looking at the translation of this song, it sounds like that's what the lyrics are pointing to. There is no actualy information saying that Miyavi actually dressed in drag for a night, he simply wrote a song about it.

1. This is a Japanese proverb desribing the beauty of a woman. the first peony (shakuyaku) is a grassy type of peony, and the second mentioned (botan) is a tree type of peony. 2. It is not uncommon to use "ane" (older sister) to call someone who is not related to you, but is a girl who's old enough to be called an older sister.
3. This sentence has to be the most impossible thing to translate properly without an explanation. And like many other songs on this album, there is a play on words that actually doesn't make much sense, other than the fact that it sends the reader an image. The words used literally are "and I'll highly straddle a door" but this phrase actually means to go into a house. but the symbol used for "mataide" (straddle) is actually the symbol for crotch in Miyavi's lyrics. The image I get from this is that, her ideals are "high," but the threshold to the doorway of who she is is so high up her thigh it's her crotch.
4. a) 3K is a mystery. It could be kilometers, it could be something else. there is no hint given in the lyrics. b) "night in girl" and "nightingale" are pronounced the same in Japanese. 5. (I'm so sick of notes) "a ku ma de mo", the way miyavi wrote it, could either mean "persistently" or "even though I'm a devil." She's a persistent enchantress of the night, not just becuase she's mentioned it 5 times in the song, but also because she's quite a devil about it.
