As we mentioned before in a previous post, miyavi signed with a new label, EMI Music Japan, and will be releasing a DVD soon titled “NEO TOKYO SAMURAI BLACK WORLD TOUR vol.1″ EMI has announced the release date for this DVD and details about what will be on it. They have also said that there will be a “Special Limited Edition Box Set” of the DVD as well that will include lots of extra goodies! Check it out:

雅-MIYAVI- New record deal, New release, New name logo, JAPAN TOUR 2010 confirmed
In 2009, MIYAVI became the first Japanese artist to have a successful world tour of 27 shows in 18 different countries. MIYAVI, who is active not only in Japan but in other countries as well, officially changed his artist name logo from miyavi to MIYAVI on January 1st, 2010, and also got a new record deal with EMI Music Japan.His first DVD with EMI Music Japan titled “NEO TOKYO SAMURAI BLACK WORLD TOUR vol.1” will be out on March 24th 2010. The DVD features the first half of the world tour that kicked off at Tokyo CC Lemon Hall on Sep. 14th 2009, and an on & off stage tour documentary filmed in Europe, South America and Asia. You can experience MIYAVI’s unique & powerful guitar performance as well as back stage and tour footage that you have never had a chance to see before. It is outstanding that all over the world, at MIYAVI concerts attended by thousands, all audiences sing along in Japanese. You will be amazed to see the enthusiastic crowds of fans at live concerts. The second release is planned for this coming fall.
The “Special Limited Edition Box Set” will be released simultaneously, which includes the “Neo Tokyo Wrist Band” and a USB Memory Stick with special contents, unreleased new songs that was written during the last world tour, and a gorgeous tour photo booklet. These are must-have items for fans!
In addition, the long awaited “NEO TOKYO SAMURAI BLACK-JAPAN Circuit-” the first Japan Tour in 2 years, was also announced. Right after the DVD release, the Japan Tour will start rolling on March 28th and will be shaking Japan till the final show at Tokyo Stellar Ball on May 29th. There will be a total of 19 shows from Hokkaido in the North through to Okinawa in the South.“Brave new world”- The ”SAMURAI GUITARIST”雅-MIYAVI- is on full throttle. You won’t be able to look away!!
